JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING
JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING
Baptism
It is a public act that we do to publicly declare that we are followers of Jesus. It is an outward expression of what has already happened to us when we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Being immersed in water is a sign of dying with Christ and being raised from the water is a representation of being born again in Christ.
If you are a follower of Christ but have not been baptized before, this is a big step in your journey of faith.
To learn more about how you can be baptized, please contact Pastor Luis Antonio.

THERE'S NO BETTER DECISION
Giving your life to Jesus changes everything. Jesus came to reveal who God is and to restore our relationship with Him. No matter your past mistakes or your present fears, Jesus can give you a new life in Him. All you need to do is put your faith in Him.
The Bible says this in Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness from our sins and to give us new life in Him.
You can say a simple prayer like this, just be sure to mean it from your heart.
"God, I know that I have sinned. I am reaching out to you because I want forgiveness. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"
Common Questions About Baptism.
Baptism is a symbol of the new life of the believer who has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. It is a sign of Christ's death and resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) (Colossians 2:12)
It is also a symbol of our new life in Christ.
(2 Corinthians 5:17) (Romans 6:4)
Baptism does not make you a believer, it shows that you are already a believer.Baptism does not save you, only your faith in Christ saves.
Every person who believes in Christ.
( Acts 2:41 ) ( Acts 8:13 ) ( Acts 8:12 )
At New Good News, we wait until children are old enough to understand the meaning of baptism, we hope they are over 12 years old. What we do do is present children to the Lord, just as Jesus was presented in the temple.
(Luke 2:22)
It is a simple ceremony where a prayer is said in which parents commit to teaching their children in the faith until they are old enough to make their own
confession of Christ.
(Proverbs 22:6).
We do it this way because Jesus was baptized by immersion.
( Matthew 3:16 ) Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion
( Acts 8:38-39 )
and the Greek word for baptism means “immersion
under water.”
The Pastor will briefly explain the meaning of baptism, you will be
in a line waiting for your turn to be baptized, the Pastor
baptizes you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and
immerses you in the water and quickly brings you out.
Then you come out, change your clothes, and see the others.
At the end, we give you your Baptism Certificate.
We ask that you please invite all your family and friends to
your baptism.
You may wear clothes that can get wet under a white robe
that we will provide. You must bring a change of clothes. We will
have towels and plastic bags for wet clothes for all participants.
Yes, of course, if they understand the meaning of baptism and have
already confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior they can be baptized with you. But It is important toremember that Baptism is a personal statement of faith, not afamily or group tradition. We do not recommend delayingyour baptism waiting for others to join you, as this would put
unnecessary pressure on them.
As soon as we believe.
(Acts 2:41) (Acts 8:35-38)
As soon as you decide to accept Christ into your life, you can be baptized. If you wait until you feel “perfect,” you will never feel
“fit to be baptized.”
JOHN 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
WHO IS JESUS?
JESUS IS GOD AND HUMAN
Jesus is God but in human form. He walked on this earth just like we do. See John 1:1, 5:17-18, and Philippians 2:5-11. The eternal Son of God, Jesus, already existed in heaven before coming to earth (see John 17:5), but then was born to a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit (see Matthew 1:20).
JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.
Here’s the bad news, we have all sinned (Romans 3:23), but this is why Jesus came. To pay the penalty for our sin, so we don’t have to. It was through His death on the cross that Jesus satisfied sin’s payment so those who accept Him as Lord and Savior can experience forgiveness and eternal life.
JESUS CHANGES LIVES.
People who followed Jesus turned away from their old life of sin and turn to God. Jesus delivered people from demon oppression like Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:2). He called people like Matthew, who was a despised tax collector (Matthew 9:9). He called ordinary people like a fisherman named Peter (Matthew 4:18). For nearly 2,000 years, Jesus Christ has been changing the lives of people all over the world. He can do this for you too!
JESUS LIVES IN HEAVEN AT FATHER GOD’S RIGHT HAND.
After Jesus rose from the dead, He went to heaven to the place where he was with the Father prior to coming to earth. From there he is able to hear our prayers (Romans 8:34).
JESUS CHRIST WILL RECEIVE YOU IF YOU COME TO HIM.
Jesus said, He would not turn anyone away who wants to come to Him (John 6:37). He’s ready to start a personal relationship with you. Your past is never too bad for Jesus to come and help you. It’s time to come to Him and receive His free gift of salvation.
ROMANS 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
